If you were to ask me a couple of weeks ago if I planned on switching from Windows 10 Professional to Windows 11 anytime soon, I would have told you no.  To run Windows 11 would require me to go out an buy a brand new computer with the newest processor and architecture.  I wasn’t going to spend a thousand bucks on a decent machine, so I saw no reason to run right out and upgrade.

Then, by accident, I ran across this cute little Windows 11 box on Amazon for $239.

I can run two monitors right out of the box.  It has a 1 TB hard drive and 16GB DDR4 RAM.

GMKtec Mini PC, Intel N100 Windows 11 Pro (3.4GHz), 16GB DDR4 1TB PCIe M.2 NVMe SSD, Desktop Computer 4K Dual HDMI Display/4x USB3.2/WiFi 6/BT5.2/RJ45 Ethernet Nucbox G3

I like this thing so much, that I bought three more — one for a server and two smaller ones for work stations upstairs.

There is no reason to spend a lot of money to upgrade to a great computer with the latest software.  Get a OneDrive account and put your entire file system on the Cloud and access your desktop from anywhere.

The BIG question is, “Why should I want to upgrade to Windows 11?”

Maybe reading this will help.

A Windows 11 ‘free’ upgrade pushes users to buy a new PC

I find the new version quick, fast, and snappy.  I love the password manager’s new integration with Windows 11 that requires your Windows login to autofill passwords from your saved manager.  If you change your Windows login, it also changes your master password on your password manager.
