Good morning from my office between two stadiums. It is 0619 hrs and I am in a hurry to get this done and over with so I can get on with the huge day ahead of me. (In case you were thinking this was a priority over my real life…)
Apparently, we had a bit of a ‘war’ yesterday, where most of the missile and drones heading towards Israel were intercepted and destroyed. A few news articles this morning show some of the missiles that never made it to Israel — and they didn’t have any warheads on them. I don’t know what that means other than it is a bit more than just ‘interesting’ to me, at least. Could be absolutely nothing — I am certainly no expert when it comes to Iranian cruise missiles, but still, did someone forget to load the warheads on some of these?
Oh wait, I have a meme for that!
There. That fixes everything.
Like I said, I am in a bit of a hurry this morning, I have a lot of things to do before I ooze out of here at 1300 hrs.

Headlines That Caught My Eye This Morning
Item 1: Donald Trump to Face Deep Blue Jury Pool as Hush-Money Case Begins
The thing about committing crimes — If you are going to be worried about the political makeup of the jury pool, then maybe you should consider where you commit your crimes.
Does this mean that Trump can’t get a fair trial because the jury is made up mostly of Democrats? I could see it being an issue if the crime was politically motivated, but it’s not. Now YOU might not be able to see past your political biases, but that’s what voir dire is for.
Item 2: A porn star, a president and a publisher named Pecker
… all walked into a courtroom.
Sounds like the perfect start to a joke, right? But there is no joke here.
Item 3: Americans Sleeping Less, More Stressed
I don’t know about you, but I sleep pretty damn good last night. I went to bed at 1630 hrs and got up this morning at 0300.
Item 4: Trades make a comeback with Gen Z workers
Well, someone has to unclog your drains, fix your air conditioners and build your houses. The various trades have gotten a bad rap over the past generation and as such have been pretty much taken over by migrants. Our entire engineering staff on our eight properties are all migrants. Apparently, engineering jobs are now on that list of jobs that Americans won’t do.
They won’t do these jobs because they aren’t applying for them. It’s not like we aren’t paying enough — $25 an hour for an entry-level engineering job isn’t all that bad, not when we are paying people with experience closer to $30 an hour, with our Chiefs making $80k per year.
Item 5: Bishop and worshippers attacked in another mass stabbing in Sydney
Ban those knives! Australia has already banned certain types of firearms after a school shooting several years ago. Now would-be killers have to arm themselves with knives to do their killin’. Here is a video for all you morbid people to gaze upon…
